Several passengers are feared dead in a road accident involving two Public Service Vehicles along the Murang’a-Kenol Highway.
The two vehicles, a Murang’a Shuttle and a Nakkons Sacco PSV were involved in the crash in the Wanjii area of Murang’a County.
Among those involved in the accident was a section of staff from the Mwai Kibaki Hospital who were traveling via the Nakkons Sacco Matatu from Nairobi to Othaya.

Those injured have since been transferred to the Murang’a Hospital for specialised treatment.
However, the cause of the crash is yet to be determined.
The accident comes at a time when most people are travelling back to their workplaces and others back to school.
The accident moreover follows a recent one that occurred On January 3 where nine people succumbed in an early morning accident in the Soy area along the Eldoret-Kitale Highway.
It occurred when a Great Rift Shuttle and a lorry collided leaving the PSV’s driver among the casualties.
The holiday in itself reported several other accidents with the most fatal being the December 23 crash that led to eight deaths along the Narok-Mai Mahiu highway.
