Arsenal continued their impressive UEFA Champions League campaign after defeating Slavia Prague 2-1 away from home on Wednesday night, November 4, despite facing late pressure from the Czech side.
The Premier League club made a strong start and took the lead through Noni Madueke, who scored in the first half to put the visitors in control.
Arsenal dominated key periods of the encounter and created several opportunities to extend their advantage.

Viktor Gyokeres doubled Arsenal’s lead before the interval, giving Mikel Arteta’s side a comfortable position heading into the second half.
The goal strengthened the visitors’ control as Slavia struggled to break through their defensive organisation.
Slavia Prague, however, refused to surrender and increased their attacking efforts in the closing stages.
Wiktor Nowak pulled one back in the final minute after Arsenal failed to clear a dangerous cross, setting up a tense finish.
Arsenal managed to withstand the late pressure and held on to claim all three points.
The victory moved the London club to third place in the Champions League league-phase standings with 10 points after four matches.
The result keeps Arsenal firmly in contention for a place among the competition’s top eight automatic qualifiers.
However, the late concession will give Arteta defensive issues to address as the club continues its European campaign.
