Wiper Patriotic Front (WPF) has extended the registration deadline for aspirants seeking to contest elective positions on the party’s ticket in the 2027 General Election.
The extension also applies to individuals seeking Party List nominations ahead of the August 2027 polls.
In a notice issued on Monday, October 5, WPF set the new registration deadline for November 3, 2026, giving prospective candidates additional time to complete their applications.
Aspirants are required to register through the party’s official website by accessing the Aspirant Application Form, completing it online and following the prompts to make the required payment.
The party said applicants will receive confirmation after successfully submitting their applications.
The extension comes weeks after WPF announced application fees for individuals seeking to contest various elective positions on its ticket.
In an earlier notice issued on September 2, WPF Chairperson Jamleck Kamau invited interested candidates to register ahead of the 2027 General Election. The initial deadline was set for October 3, 2026.
The party also opened applications for individuals seeking nomination through WPF Party Lists.
Gubernatorial aspirants are required to pay an application fee of KSh50,000, while women, youth and persons with disabilities (PWDs) seeking the same position will pay KSh25,000.
Senatorial and National Assembly aspirants will each pay KSh20,000, with women, youth and PWD candidates paying KSh10,000.
Woman Representative aspirants will pay KSh20,000, while MCA aspirants will pay KSh10,000. Women, youth and PWD candidates seeking MCA positions will pay KSh5,000.
WPF directed applicants to make payments through the party’s Co-operative Bank account or via Paybill before completing the registration process online.
The extension gives prospective WPF candidates more time to prepare and submit their applications ahead of the 2027 elections.
