The 46th President of the US, Joe Biden has issued an official pardon to son Hunter.
Hunter Biden is the only surviving and first son to President Joe Biden.
Although the 46th Head of State had previously said he would not pardon his son or commute his sentence, on Sunday evening he said that although he believed in the justice system, politics has affected this process, and it led to a miscarriage of justice.

According to CNN, Hunter Biden was set to face sentence this month on federal felony gun and tax convictions.
He had pleaded guilty to tax charges in September and was also found guilty of being an illegal drug user in possession of a gun in June.
According to his lawyers, hunter had a gun-3.8-calliber Colt Cobra Special-for about 11 days and never fired it in that time.
This made him to become the first child of a President to be convicted of a crime and getting a prospect of years in prison although he was expected to face a shorter sentence of up to 16 months.
His sentence hearing was scheduled to be heard on December 16th.
While Joe Biden had said before that he won’t pardon his son, others feel that he put his family first over justice while others felt it was abuse of power.
