Police in Garissa County have arrested a suspect linked to a series of violent robberies reported in the area.
The National Police Service (NPS) noted that the arrest followed investigations and intelligence-gathering efforts by officers seeking to identify those responsible for the recent robberies.
According to the NPS, officers acted on actionable intelligence before tracking down and apprehending the suspect in Garissa County.

The suspect is wanted in connection with offences committed within Garissa Township and is currently being held in police custody.
Police highlighted that the suspect will be arraigned in court to face charges related to the offences.
The arrest comes as security officers intensify efforts to address cases of violent crime in Garissa and bring those suspected of involvement to justice.
The NPS reaffirmed its commitment to tackling crime, protecting members of the public and ensuring that individuals found culpable are held accountable in accordance with the law.
The Service also called on residents to work closely with law enforcement agencies by sharing timely and credible information that could assist officers in preventing crime, apprehending suspects and enhancing security within communities.
