Former Citizen TV news anchor and Kisumu senatorial aspirant Willis Raburu has confirmed he is safe after being involved in a minor road accident on Sunday morning, July 26, while travelling with the Linda Mwananchi convoy to Bungoma County.
Raburu said the incident occurred during the journey but assured his supporters that he did not sustain any serious injuries.
The former television journalist revealed that he suffered minor bruises following the crash and was able to continue with the campaign shortly afterwards.

Taking to social media, Raburu downplayed the incident, saying campaign activities can be demanding but insisting the accident would not slow down his political journey.
According to Raburu, a vehicle collided with him on the road, causing him to fall. Despite the impact, he said he quickly recovered and rejoined the convoy as it continued its tour.
“Some random car hit me on the road. Campaign trails can be intense!!! But I am okay. I fell and got some bruises, but I’m ok. Nothing can stop a movement whose time has come!!! Caught up to the caravan and we kept it,” he wrote.
His update reassured supporters who had expressed concern after reports of the accident emerged online.
Raburu has in recent months intensified his political engagements as he campaigns for the Kisumu Senate seat under the Linda Mwananchi movement, joining leaders at rallies and public meetings across different parts of the country.
The incident occurred as the Linda Mwananchi convoy made its way to Bungoma for political engagements, with the convoy continuing its scheduled activities after Raburu rejoined the team.
