Former Deputy President and DCP Party leader Rigathi Gachagua has linked the deadly attack in Mandera County that claimed six lives to the alleged presence of Jubaland forces operating illegally within Kenyan territory.
In a statement, Gachagua claimed that armed foreign forces from Somalia’s Jubaland region had crossed into Kenya and posed a serious security threat to residents in Northern Kenya.
The former Deputy President expressed condolences to the families of the six people killed in Arabia Sub-County, Mandera County, while also wishing the seven injured victims a quick recovery.

Gachagua went on to note that he had previously warned the government about the dangers posed by the alleged presence of Jubaland forces in Mandera Town, claiming the latest attack had confirmed his fears.
He condemned the killings and called for the immediate removal of all foreign armed groups from Kenyan soil, insisting that the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity must be protected at all costs.
The former DP further accused unnamed leaders of compromising national security for political and business interests, warning that the safety and dignity of Kenyans should never be sacrificed.
The attack has renewed concerns over insecurity along the Kenya-Somalia border, which has in recent years experienced repeated cases of cross-border incursions and militant-related violence.
