KMTC Flags Fraudulent Student Letters Circulating Online Before KUCCPS Deadline

The Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) has cautioned students against a fraudulent letter circulating on social media that claims to provide information on admission letter replacements, course changes, transfers, and deferrals.

In a notice on Wednesday, May 6, 2026,the Institution urged its students and those yet to join to ignore it.

According to KMTC, the notice is not genuine, as scammers may use it to mislead unsuspecting students.

“Do not fall prey to scammers and fraudsters. Stay vigilant,” KMTC stated.

The fake document, purported to have originated from KMTC’s admissions office, directed students to contact specific phone numbers for assistance with transferring, deferring, or replacing admission letters.

It further listed two mobile numbers for students to contact for assistance; however, reports indicate that numbers are not registered under the college’s name but are registered under two different individual names.

This comes after the college revealed a detailed process for students to apply for deferment of studies, a change of course, or a transfer to a different campus.

KMTC disclosed that the entire process had been digitised, allowing applicants to access services conveniently without physically visiting campuses

The advisory also comes hours before the closure of KMTC courses applications through the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS), after which successful students will be immediately placed at different KMTC campuses across the country.
