Police officers are probing the murder of a Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) soldier whose body was found under mysterious circumstances at her home on the outskirts of Nairobi City.
The soldier, who was attached to the Department of Defence (DoD) headquarters, was discovered in her home in Juja, Kiambu County, after she failed to respond to repeated calls from her family.
According to reports, the house was locked from the inside, prompting relatives to force entry to check on her welfare.

Reports indicate that the deceased was found lying on a sofa in a pool of blood with visible marks on her face consistent with electrocution.
This has prompted the police and military officials have launch a joint inquiry to determine the cause of her death.
Meanwhile, her body was moved to the Defence Forces Memorial Hospital Mashujaa Funeral Home, where a postmortem is set to be conducted.
Further reports indicate that the circumstances surrounding her death remain unclear, and all possibilities are being examined as part of the inquiry.
