In addition, five bales of substances suspected to be Cannabis sativa were recovered from the vehicle.

The driver of the minibus was immediately arrested at the scene and taken into police custody. Authorities confirmed that he is awaiting processing and arraignment in court.

The vehicle used to transport the illegal goods was also detained as part of the investigation.

NPS further indicated that efforts are underway to trace and apprehend another suspect who managed to escape during the operation.

According to the authority, the seizure underscores its commitment to tackling the distribution of illicit goods and narcotics.
