The Democracy for Citizens Party’s Political Affairs Director, Stanley Kimure, has allegedly been abducted.
This comes after Gachagua’s visit to Ol Kalou for a funeral service on Wednesday, April 8.
In a statement by Lawyer Ndegwa Njiru, unknown individuals around Rironi allegedly abducted the DCP official.
“DCP Political Affairs Director Stanley Kimure (Stano) has been abducted by unknown individuals around Rironi,” stated Lawyer Njiru in a post.
“He was with Hon. Mark Mwenje at the time. Mheshimiwa is currently pursuing the car along Limuru Road,” the Lawyer added.
According to reports, the alleged abduction is said to have come, after a fiery exchange between President William Ruto’s Gachagua’s camp during the burial of the late Ol Kalau MP David Kiaharo on April 8.
Both leaders had attended the burial of the late MP, which marked the first meet up after Gachagua was impeached.
It was then that Gachagua took the opportunity to address his removal from office, appearing emboldened and directing criticism at his successors and Ruto’s allies.
Reports indicate that he was warmly received by a section of the crowd and aimed to demonstrate his continued influence in the region.
Moments later, the lawyer revealed that Stanley was being charged at Kajiado Law Courts for allegedly refusing to implicate Gachagua.
He further alleged that the DCI wanted him to falsly testify that Gachagua is possession of teargas canisters and arms and drugs.
