Matatu operator Super Metro Limited has announced plans to start operating a new route to Ongata Rongai.
The announcement was made on the company’s official social media accounts on Monday, March 30.
However, Super Metro has not yet revealed the official start date for the Rongai route or the location of the designated stage.

“New route alert!!!Today. Rongai, here we are!!!! Thank you for your continued support,” Super Metro announced.
The company currently provides transport services on more than 15 routes across Nairobi and its surrounding satellite towns.
The routes across Nairobi and its satellite towns, includes Makongeni, Thika, Juja, Roysambu, Westlands, Kikuyu, Malaa, Kitengela, Kabiria, and Ngong. Other routes include Juja Farm, Regen, Kinoo, Upperhill, Mfangano, Satellite, Wanyee, and Kahawa West.
Notably, on May 5, 2025, the company launched a route from Kencom in Nairobi’s Central Business District (CBD) to Kabiria.
This route also serves commuters travelling through Upperhill, Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH), Ngong Road, Wanyee, and Satellite, with operations starting early in the morning.
