A Kenyan citizen might be deported from the United States following arrest by the immigration authorities in Baltimore.
According to reports, he had overstayed in the US for over 20 years with a visitor’s visa and has now been convicted of assault.
According to reports, the man was nabbed by agents from US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) stationed in Baltimore, Maryland, on March 24, 2926.
This followed a rape conviction in Baltimore County that put him on the agency’s radar.
According to the authorities, the Kenyan man first arrived in the US in 2003 on a visitor’s visa but never left after his permitted stay ended, quietly living in the country unlawfully for more than two decades without detection

Reports indicate that once ICE apprehends a foreign national, they are typically taken to a local field office before being transferred to a detention facility, sometimes hundreds of miles from their family and support network.
A Deportation Officer then conducts a detailed interview covering the individual’s family background, immigration history, and criminal record, using the information gathered to determine the next appropriate step in the removal process.
Further reports indicate that the detainee is eligible for a bond ranging between Ksh400,000 and Ksh6.5 millio.
Despite that, the man can still be deported far more swiftly without a bond hearing.
