The third contingent of Kenyan police officers deployed in Haiti under the Multinational Security Support (MSS) mission has safely returned home.
The officers arrived at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) on the night of Tuesday, March 24, aboard a Kenya Airways (KQ) flight.
They were warmly received by Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja and National Security Adviser Monica Juma, accompanied by Deputy Inspector General Eliud Lagat.

During the reception, Juma commended the officers for their professionalism, dedication, and integrity, highlighting that their service brought pride to both the National Police Service (NPS) and the nation.
On his part, Inspector General Douglas Kanja praised the officers for their courage, discipline, and unwavering commitment throughout the Haiti mission.
The 208 officers were part of a larger contingent deployed to Haiti under the Kenya-led Multinational Security Support (MSS) mission, contributing to international peace and security efforts
The mission was tasked with supporting the Haitian National Police (HNP) in tackling gang violence, restoring public safety, and safeguarding critical infrastructure.
Under the Multinational Security Support (MSS) mission, Kenyan officers played a key role in securing vital facilities, including airports, seaports, road networks, and major transport corridors, facilitating the safe movement of civilians and delivery of humanitarian aid.
This return comes just a week after the second contingent of 215 Kenyan police officers completed their deployment and arrived back home.
The officers touched down at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) on the night of Tuesday, March 17, where they were welcomed by Interior Principal Secretary Raymond Omollo.
The first contingent, consisting of 230 police officers, had previously returned to Kenya on Tuesday, December 9, 2026.
