Police officers have apprehended eleven suspects following a series of coordinated intelligence-led operations.
During the operation, the police seized narcotics, illicit alcohol, and contraband goods worth millions of shillings.
In Mombasa, a joint team drawn from the DCI Anti-Narcotics Unit, Kenya Police, NACADA, and KRA descended on the Likoni area targeting drug and contraband networks.
At a rental house, officers nabbed two suspects who were found distilling and packaging a substance they had fraudulently branded as SMART Vodka.
The also recovered KRA stickers and distilling equipment at the scene.
Other suspects were arrested at Shika Adabu area, where they found the suspects in possession of substances suspected to be heroin and a narcotic drug, with a combined street value of approximately Ksh 4.6 million.
On the other hand, in Nyanza, police officers flagged down a Guardian Angel Bus Company vehicle along the Kisumu-Kericho Highway at Awasi following a tip-off that a passenger onboard was ferrying narcotics.
During the search, the officers recovered five bales of green and dry plant material suspected to be narcotic drugs concealed in bags.
The suspect was apprehended and taken into custody, awaiting arraignment in court.
In Nairobi, police officers raided a house in Mwiki area of Kasarani linked to George Mathenge Kamau.
During the operation, they recovered narcotic substances, assorted packaging materials, 43 non-serviceable mobile phones, four non-serviceable iPads, a computer, and Ksh 13,800 in cash.
Kamau was arrested together with his two associates.
