KQ Schedules Special Nairobi–Dubai Repatriation Flights

Kenya Airways has announced that it will operate repatriation flights between Nairobi and Dubai this week.

The moved followed a greenlight from Dubai Airport Management.

In a statement on Wednesday, March 3, 2026, Kenya Airways confirmed that it will operate a Nairobi-Dubai repatriation flight on Wednesday and a return Dubai-Nairobi flight on March 5, 2026.

According to KQ, the flights follow approval of limited slots at Dubai International Airport, in line with guidelines from the United Arab Emirates authorities on the partial resumption of operations at the airport.

Kenya Airways also clarified that the flights are strictly intended for Kenyans who are residents of the UAE and are unable to travel out of Nairobi and vice versa.

It further directed individuals to ensure that they check their flight status through the airline’s official website and update their contact details through the ‘manage booking’ option on the website.

“We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your patience and understanding. The safety of our crew and customers remains our highest priority, and we will communicate directly with affected customers to provide the necessary assistance. Should you need further assistance, please contact our Customer Excellence Team at +254 711 024 747, WhatsApp +254 705 474 747, or X”, Kenya Airways said in part of their statement.

However, the airline clarified that it has not yet resumed operations to Dubai, and it will provide more information in the coming days.

This follows U.S. and Israel launched an attack on February 28, 2026, against strategic targets in Tehran, which prompted Iran to begin retaliatory attacks.

The attack has led to multiple explosions in the Middle East Region, leading to airspace closures.
