Founder of Easy Coach, Azym Dossa, Dies

Easy Coach’s founding director, Azym Dossa, has passed away.

In a statement on Thursday, February 26, 2026, the company said it was deeply saddened by his passing, describing him as a visionary leader.

The company noted that Dossa’s leadership laid the foundation for the company’s growth and established values that continue to define its operations.

The company further extended condolences to his family and loved ones during this period of mourning, praying that he is granted eternal peace and that those affected by his loss are given strength and patience.

Dossa was a Kenyan entrepreneur best known as the founder and former Managing Director of Easy Coach.

According to reports, he allegedly returned to the country from Canada at the age of 50 to start Easy Coach from scratch.

He managed to establish the company in 2003 with approximately seven buses and, over more than two decades, grew it into a major transport brand recognised for safety standards, structured booking systems, and dedicated passenger lounges.

However, before he launched Easy Coach, Dossa served as Chief Financial Officer at Akamba Bus, gaining nearly 20 years of experience in the transport industry.
