The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) has refuted claims that the party had sacked its ICT director.
In a statement on February 11, 2026, UDA stated that the publication did not originate from its authorised communication channels.
They urged members of the public to disregard the document and verify information through verified party pages and statements.
The fake poster claimed that the party’s ICT Director, Elijah Sawe, had been relieved of his duties over alleged financial irregularities and unauthorised data disclosure.
“This is to inform the public that the individual named above has been relieved by the UDA party due to alleged financial irregularities and unauthorised data disclosure,” part of the statement read.
“Consequently, the individual is not permitted to conduct any party-related business or act on behalf of the party in any capacity . The party shall not be liable for any transactions, commitments or representations made by the individual,” the statement added.
The poster further indicated that the publication came from management, which is contrary to many UDA releases.
It also alleged that the dismissal of Sawe comes at a time when the country is in a political mood as different parties realign their top leadership.
