The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has launched a manhunt for a suspect believed to be behind a series of cyber-related crimes in Kenya.
In a notice issued on Wednesday, January 28, the DCI released a photograph of the suspect and appealed to members of the public to share any information that could aid in his arrest.
The agency stated that the individual is suspected of committing multiple cyber crimes within the country and emphasized the importance of public cooperation in the ongoing investigation.

The DCI also indicated that it is offering a reward to members of the public who provide credible intelligence that directly leads to the suspect’s apprehension.
The agency also shared designated channels for reporting information and guaranteed that any leads provided would be treated in strict confidence.
This follows a manhunt launched two weeks ago for Timothy Njeru Wanjuki, a suspect linked to a major car import fraud scheme targeting foreign nationals.
In a statement on Friday, January 9, the DCI said Wanjuki, the director of East Africa Motors Limited, allegedly defrauded clients through false promises, incomplete transactions, and failure to deliver vehicles.
Investigators noted that foreign nationals, including UN staff in Nairobi, were among the victims, with large sums of money transferred to accounts controlled by the suspect.
The DCI added that the company closed its physical offices and moved operations online before authorities intervened.
The search for the suspect is ongoing, with the public warned against engaging in any dealings linked to him and urged to share information confidentially.
