Activist Boniface Mwangi has asdured Kenyan that he will never betray them.
This he said on Sunday, January 25, 2026, claiming that if it were selling out, the past two years would have been his moment.
“There was a bullet in my bag, my house was bombed, and no one was arrested. They have done the worst they can ever do. I will never give up or sell out. I know Kenyan people understand that I have been at the forefront in the streets for the past 20 years. It was very easy for me to sell out for the past two years because for these guys, it’s about money,” he said.
“It’s unfortunate that every time I go for an interview, I am asked about money, yet some people running for President have never held a job their whole lives, never written a CV, and have been in public service their whole lives. They are billionaires because they stole that money from the Kenyan people,” Mwangi added.
Mwangi further clarified that his work on the streets and in public advocacy is driven by principles rather than personal gain.
