The operation, carried out in collaboration with the DCI Dog Unit, followed credible intelligence that led to the interception and seizure of the illicit drugs.

During the search of the vehicle, detectives recovered 12 green sacks and 12 bales of bhang, totaling 387 kilograms.

Mukungua, along with the seized drugs and the impounded vehicle, was taken to the police station for processing ahead of arraignment.

In a separate operation, DCI detectives in Keiyo South, working with officers from Metkei Police Station, intercepted a Toyota Fielder in the Kapchorwa area of Kamwosor Location.

A search of the vehicle uncovered seven bags of bhang, leading to the arrest of the driver, Vincent Odhiambo.

He was taken to Metkei Police Station, along with the drugs and vehicle, for legal proceedings.
