Kileleshwa MCA Robert Alai has denied claims that he drew a gun on Embakasi East MP Babu Owino at a Kilimani restaurant.
Alai stated that he was at the Cedar restaurant when Babu, seated at another table, approached him to greet him.
He claimed he expressed discomfort with the interaction, after which the MP allegedly pushed his head during the encounter.

The Kileleshwa MCA said he had made it clear that he was not interested in the Nairobi gubernatorial seat and urged Babu Owino to keep family members out of politics.
He claimed that the MP became increasingly agitated and continued pushing his head despite repeated requests to stop.
Alai denied drawing a gun on Babu, stating that he only stood up and pushed the lawmaker back.
He acknowledged that a gun was on his waist, but said a colleague seated next to him had taken it during the confrontation.
The MCA maintained that CCTV footage at the restaurant would confirm that he did not brandish a firearm during the encounter.
Police in Kilimani have confiscated Alai’s firearm following a confrontation and both politicians have recorded statements at the station.
