Police have seized four more illegal firearms in Angata Barikoi area.
This was after they were voluntarily surrendered to security agencies under the ongoing government amnesty on illegal weapons.
The recovered firearms were made up of one AK-47 rifle and three homemade guns capable of firing.
The police has so far secured the weapons which will undergo further processing in accordance with the law.
The National Police Service (NPS) commended local leaders and residents for their cooperation, noting that community support remains critical in efforts to curb the proliferation of illicit firearms and enhance security in the region.
Following the latest development, the police have urged anyone still in possession of illegal weapons to take advantage of the amnesty period and surrender them.
