Police in Mombasa have shot two suspected robbers and recovered motorbikes, mobile phones, crude weapons, and other items believed to have been stolen during robberies in Likoni.
According to the Mombasa County police commander, the suspects were injured during a security operation as officers intensified patrols in the area.
He commended the officers for their efforts in maintaining security, noting that enhanced patrols were beginning to yield positive results.

The police boss also urged members of the public to exercise greater vigilance during the festive season, particularly with schools now closed.
The police commander further assured residents travelling outside Mombasa that their properties would be safeguarded, stating that officers remain committed to maintaining peace and protecting both residents and their belongings across the county.
He also revealed that police have leads on other suspects linked to the robberies, with investigations ongoing.
