MP Kirwa Resumes Parliamentary Duties Following Long Illness

Mosop Member of Parliament (MP) Abraham Kirwa on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 resumed work marking his first appearance in Parliament.

This comes after nearly two years of medical treatment in the United States.

The National Assembly Deputy Speaker Gladys Boss led the MPs in welcoming him before giving him an opportunity to speak.

While expressing gratitude, the Mosop MP appreciated the Parliament for overwhelmingg support he received throughout his long recovery journey.

“When you are in this position, and somebody comes to see you, it really means a lot. And it’s not that I wanted to be sick or go down, but somehow I got sick,” Kirwa said.

“I have been gone for 18 months, almost two years, but somehow the projects were going on. Those in the office made sure procedures were followed, and things moved well. The people were patient with me, and I appreciate that,” he added.
