Mombasa policemen have rescued 20 children and detained 7 adults in a suspected religious cult.
According to reports, the individuals were found confined in the Zion Fire Annointing Ministries church, cut off from the outside world.
According to the police reports, the 27 individuals were apprehended after one woman and her children managed to escape the church and report it to the police on Friday, October 31, 2025.
The police who investigated the church found the individuals in poor condition.
So far, the police have yet to arrest anyone and have launched investigations towards the matter.
