A businessman was reportedly robbed of Ksh7 million while carrying the money in a school bag at a petrol station off Waiyaki Way in Nairobi.
Reports indicate that the victim was robbed after boarding a private vehicle in Eastleigh, which dropped him off at a petrol station near ABC Place along Waiyaki Way.
He intended to board a public service vehicle to Bondo from there.
According to reports, the man told police that this was not the first time he had carried such a large sum of money on public transport.
The incident occurred on October 8, 2025 when he had gunshots but turning on the site where the gunshots were, somebody pulled off his bag and sped off in a standby motorcycle.
The victim further narrated that as the robbers fled off, gunshots were heard in the air.
So far, investigations are still ongoing, no suspect has been arrested.
