Neno Evangelism Center founder Pastor James Ng’ang’a has responded to Nairobi Women Representative Esther Passaris after she called for his arrest over a video in which he appeared to confess to sexually assaulting a woman years ago.
Taking to his socials, Pastor Nga’ng’a accused Passaris of unfairly targeting him.
The man of God went on to note that he has no platform in Parliament to defend himself, but would instead take the matter before God.

“So, what have I done now? I have nowhere to sue you in Parliament, and I know you are going to make phone calls to have me arrested. What is that? There is a God in heaven; one day you will pay for this. You have bothered me about this land, and again you went to discuss me in Parliament. You don’t fear God? Just wait, you’ll see the consequences of this. This is the second time you have attacked me for no reason. I will report you to God. I will scatter you; I will send spiritual missiles against you,” said Nga’ng’a.
The controversy follows remarks made by Esther Passaris, who has called on the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to launch a thorough probe into Pastor James Ng’ang’a and, if warranted, effect his arrest.
Passaris’ statement came in response to a viral video in which the Neno Evangelism Center founder appears to confess before his congregation to having been part of an eight-person gang that sexually assaulted a woman many years ago.
The shocking revelation, made during a church service and later circulated widely across social media platforms, has sparked nationwide outrage and renewed debate over accountability among religious leaders.
Many Kenyans expressed disbelief and anger, demanding that authorities take swift action to determine the truth behind the pastor’s claims.
Passaris emphasized that if the confession indeed took place as shown in the viral footage, law enforcement agencies must treat it with the seriousness it deserves.
She urged Pastor Ng’ang’a to fully cooperate with investigators to ensure that justice is served for the alleged victim, adding that no individual—regardless of their position or religious influence—should be above the law.
