In an unexpected turn of events, an elderly man who had a matter before the Environment and Lands Court has passed away within Bungoma Law Courts premises.
His death was confirmed by the Judiciary in a statement, saying that the deceased appeared to be unwell when he arrived at the institution.
According to Judiciary Spokesperson Paul Ndemo, the man began appearing visibly unwell at around 9 am and was carried into the court compound on a motorcycle.
Due to his condition, the customer care handed him a priority card.
Priority card is card given to elderly or the sick to spend a little time in court.
since his lawyer had not arrived, he decided to wait on the grass seated alongside his brother’s where a team of officers were alerted only to arrive and find that he had passed away.
