Two-time 800m World Championship gold medalist Billy Komintai Konchellah had his appointment as a member of the Anti-Doping Agency of Kenya (ADAK) revoked a week after he landed the government role.
The new development was revealed through a gazette notice by Sports Cabinet Secretary Salim Mvurya.
He therefore warned a position as a member of the National Heroes Council.
The former athlete will now be at the Council for three years.
