The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) officers have summoned Democracy for the Citizens Party Deputy Leader, Cleophas Malala.
The summon was due to the helicopter incident.
The helicopter reportedly landed during halftime of a match between Musingu High School and St Joseph’s Kitale, causing panic among students, teachers and the residents.
Malala has now been summoned to appear before the DCI offices in Kakamega on Friday, August 8, to shed more light on his decision to land using a helicopter at the centre of a stadium during school games.
When calling on the the DCP deputy leader to honour the summons, the police boss cautioned of dire consequences, including criminal charges, should Malala and the pilot be found guilty of an unauthorised landing.
