The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) have received four requests to have certain members of parliament recalled from their positions.
IEBC Chairperson Erastus Ethekon said the requests will be considered based on the weight of the matters raised.
He affirmed that Kenyans are entitled to recall an MP provided that the reasons given by the citizens are legitimate under the constitution.
Ethekon also assured Kenyans that the electoral body would uphold the constitution in dealing with such matters, emphasising that IEBC would only react within the limits of the law.
He announced that the electoral body would commence conducting the pending by-elections in several sub-counties across the country.
