Former Public Service CS Justin Muturi now claims that President Ruto made a mistake appointing CS Kipchumba Murkomen to head the Ministry of Interior.
Speaking during an interview on July 17, Muturi noted that CS Murkomen is only excited about power.
“They say if you want to test a man, give them power. Power has gotten into his (Murkomen’s) head. He is also a fairly young man and is excited about the exercise of power. There is also an element of childishness in him. The appointing authority, William Ruto himself, made a mistake giving such an excitable youth the responsibility to head a docket as serious as Interior. It was both a mistake and intentional,” said Muturi.

Muturi also slammed President Ruto, noting that the appointment of Murkomen to the Interior docket reflects poor leadership.
“Murkomen is very easily excited, and you can see it in his behavior, when you give him the interior docket, even you, the appointing authority, must begin questioning your capacity at leadership,” Muturi noted.
CS Murkomen was recently on the spot after he directed the police to shoot and kill those who approached police stations during protests.
However, he was forced to clarify he had not instructed the police to use their firearms recklessly following a public uproar.
