Drama was witnessed on Wednesday, July 16 at Thika Law Courts as an Activist was arrested in the middle of the court proceedings.
In footage seen by Whispers Wire, the activist was being hurriedly taken away by several police officers who did not disclose the reason why he was being arrested.
The activist was at Thika Law Courts to show support to those who had been arrested during the Saba Saba protests.
As the court’s proceedings continued, police officers came in and took the activist as other attendees wondered why he was being detained.
Moments after, the activist known as Bahati wrote on his Twitter informing that he had been arrested.
“I have been arrested inside Thika Law Courts, currently being held at Thika Police Station”, he wrote.
