A woman was arrested in India for allegedly trying to smuggle narcotics into the country.
Reports indicate that the woman had ingested six tablets containing cocaine that she was to hand over to someone in the city before she was apprehended.
According to reports, the accused, identified as Florence Indangasi (43) was flying from Nairobi to Mumbai and reached Mumbai airport where she was nabbed based on intelligence.
When the search was conducted in her baggage and clothes, nothing was found.
However, upon interrogation, she said she had consumed six tablets containing narcotics, following which she was admitted to a hospital after getting permission from a court.
A total of six capsules were retrieved from her stomach.
The authorities are currently trying to find out the suspect who was to receive the consignment from her.
