The six suspects in the murder case of blogger Albert Ojwang have pleaded not guilty.
The suspects include OCS Samaon Talaam, Police Constable James Mukhwana, Peter Kimani, John Ngige Gitau, Gin Ammitou Abwao and Brian Mwaniki Njue.
Therefore, the lawyers representing the accused persons have requested the court to grant their clients bail, arguing that they are not a flight risk.

However, their request was rejected by the prosecution, who argued that the suspects are likely to tamper with the evidence and interfere with the witnesses.
As of Monday, June 23, more than 20 police officers had recorded statements over the brutal murder of Ojwang while in police custody.
The blogger Albert Ojwang was reportedly killed at Central Police Station just hours after his arrest.
The incident raised a lot of concern towards the public who protested demanding justice for his death.
So far, six suspects have been arrested and linked to the murder.
