Police officers in Garissa have nabbed four suspects and rescued two children who were reportedly abducted.
According to reports by Citizen Digital, the two children, aged 10 and 7 respectively, left home for their regular Islamic lessons, Dukis, a location which is approximately 2 kilometres away.
Later on, information was received that the children were seen being forced into a Black Land Cruiser Prado car KDL 171S in an unknown direction.
The police responded quickly and successfully intercepted the vehicle at a roadblock in Garsen, in the neighbouring Tana River.
The children were found alongside four other occupants in the vehicle who were arrested.
The four include: 42-year-old Australian male Ibrahim Saeed Same, 23-year-old Somali male Ali Ada Kuno, 25-year-old Somali male Khalid Abdullahi Mohammed and Malyun Kassim Hussein (35-year-old female).
