Mildred Wanyama, the mother of popular football icons Victor Wanyama and McDonald Mariga, has passed away.
According to reports, she passed away today in this morning and her deceased body was moved to Lee Funeral Home in Nairobi for preservation.
In a statement on June 14, 2025, McDonald Mariga disclosed that the family was in mourning for the passing of his mother and would share more details about the burial arrangements soon.
“It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, who left us peacefully today morning. We are currently making arrangements and will share more details soon! Thank you”, the statement read.
The deceased is survived by her husband, Noah Wanyama and children, namely McDonald Mariga, Victor, Sylvester, Thomas and Mercy Wanyama.
