Gachagua’s Party Billboard Damaged in Nairobi

Former Deputy Governor Rigathi Gachagua’s new party, Democracy for the Citizens (DCP), billboard was vandalised in Nairobi.

The billboard contained the image of DCP Party Leader, Rigathi Gachagua and Irungu Nyakera.

It also had a message written Hongera Riggy G on your party launch.

Following the incident, Nyakera took to his social media platform on May 17, 2025, to condemn the act while expressing his disappointment over the destruction of the billboard.

“To the illegitimate governments’ headquarters in Nairobi: You can destroy a billboard, but you cannot stop the message. Congratulations, Riggy, on the DCP launch. Agenda ni WANTAM for Kenya and Nairobi”, Nyakera stated.

Gachagua launched his new party on May 15, where he appointed Cleophas Malala as the Deputy Party leader.

Among other leaders appointed were former Laikipia Women Rep Cate Waruguru as the National Women Leader and former Starehe Member of Parliament Maina Kamanda as the chair of the Council of Eminent Persons in DCP.
