A Kenyan student passed away in India after falling from a building in his residence.
Daniel (29) was studying at a private college in Salem, was staying at a rented house in a town called Panchayat within the Salem Metropolitan area.
The source indicates that the deceased moved to Kannankurichi after discontinuing his studies and was living with a female roommate from Uganda.
It’s unclear the university he attended before he decided to discontinue his studies.
According to reports, on April 27, Daniel was speaking on the phone, sitting on the edge of a wall,, when he lost his balance and fell sustaining a head injury in the process.
Preliminary reports suggest that Daniel may have been under the influence at the time of the accident.
Following the incident, the deceased was admitted to Salem Government Hospital, where he stayed for two weeks before his condition worsened.
He passed away on May 12, 2025.
