The former Maseno High School Principal, Paul Otula has passed away.
Reports indicate that Otula died on Thursday, May 1, 2025, after collapsing at his home in Nairobi after suffering cardiac arrest.
His body was transferred to Lee Funeral Home.
Otula is known for his excellence in sport because under his leadership at Maseno, which began in 2001.
But his tenure ended in 2017 when he was accused of alleged misconduct, leading to his interdiction.
He therefore went to Sunshine Secondary School in Nairobi in 2018 where he served until 2021 when he resigned.
Following the resignation, he pursued a political career aiming a parliamentary seat in Karachuonyo in the 2022 general elections.
Apart from his academic career, Otula excelled in basketball and secured a leadership role in the Kenya Basketball Federation (KBF).
He was elected as the chairman of KBF in 2018, where he held the position for multiple terms.
