Gor Mahia head coach Sinisa Mihic stormed out of Dandora Stadium just minutes before full time during the match against Sofapaka FC, visibly frustrated as he hurried toward the exit gate and ultimately left the venue.
Gor Mahia struggled throughout the match, being held to a 0-0 draw at halftime. Notably, Benson Omala had a goal disallowed for offside in the added minutes of the first half.
In the second half, Omala scored again, but once more his goal was ruled out for offside in the 59th minute. Finally, Joshua Onyango managed to score in the 66th minute.
Mihic, currently serving a suspension with a red card received in a previous match at Machakos Stadium, was not allowed on the touchline and left the coaching duties to his assistant, Zedekiah ‘Zicco’ Otieno. Instead, Mihic was seated in the stands.
Recently, tensions had flared between Mihic and his technical bench. Reports indicate that Mihic directed the bench to make two substitutions while the team was leading, but unfortunately, the officials failed to carry out the changes. Mihic reportedly urged them for more than 10 minutes, but his requests went unheeded.
In frustration, he decided to leave the stadium. Although police and some Gor Mahia stewards attempted to stop him, he ignored their efforts and exited.
In the end, Sofapaka managed to equalize right before the final whistle, ending the match in a 1-1 draw and denying Gor Mahia maximum points.
