Fatal Accident in Ruiru Claims Four Lives

Four people have been confirmed dead in a tragic road accident which occurred in Ruiru, Kiambu County.

Reports indicate that the incident occurred at around 3:40 am near Membley when a private vehicle crashed into a stationary trailer.

All four passengers in the car died on the spot due to the force of the impact.

According to preliminary reports, the crash may have been caused by speeding that left the driver with little time to react upon encountering the trailer.

The trailer, being driven by Peter Wachira, was en route from Kaha West toward Membley Roundabout when it was struck from the rear by the private car, Suzuki Wagon.

The deceased bodies were moved to Thika General Kago Mortuary for preservation and postmortem.

The incident comes at a time when most Kenyans are celebrating Easter holidays.

It also comes at a time when the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) announced they would launch crackdown on drivers breaching road safety regulations ahead of and during the Easter celebrations.
