Two women have been arrested by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) following a WhatsApp status.
In the WhatsApp status, the woman reportedly cautioned any man planning to dump her that there would be severe consequences as she posed with a weapon.
In the status, she threatened anyone who dared to break up with her.
After numerous reports of the status update, the officers arrived at the doorstep of one of the women.
They, therefore, descended into the residence of the woman in Awasi town, a two-bedroom house shared with her friend and, later, co-accused.
During the search of the residence, the police uncovered the pistol, which was wrapped in clothes inside a basin and stored under the bed alongside a fake motorcycle number plate.
The two suspects are currently in custody awaiting arraignment in court.
Meanwhile, further investigations to uncover more suspects in connection to the gun are still ongoing.
