Oduor, Raila Odinga’s private bodyguard for over a decade, died while undergoing treatment at City hospital.
During the viewing of his body on Thursday, April 3, 2025, his family were seen mourning their bereaved as they wept uncontrollably.
The service was led by Pastor Robert Burale, who encouraged the family to continue trusting in the Lord at this trying moment in their family and urged everyone to put the family in prayers at their trying moment as he prayed for them.
The Chairlady of Azimio la Umoja, Catherine Okoth, also stated that having known George for thirty years, he was a fair man and his death has shocked her, but she condoled that his soul rest in peace.
The deceased will be laid to rest at his residence in Ndori, Siaya County, on Saturday, 12 April 2025.
Meanwhile, there will be a service on Thursday, 10 April 2025, in Nairobi at an avenue that is yet to be communicated.
Friends, colleagues and relatives and well-wishers are therefore advised to provide their moral support through prayers and by signing condolence books located at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Foundation (JOOF) HQs on Kiambere road, Upper Hill and the other at Chungwa House, Lavington.
