Cabinet Secretary for Public Service Justin Muturi has flagged as fake a resignation letter making rounds on social media purporting that he has resigned from his position.
In the letter allegedly signed by him, it was claimed that Muturi was resigning due to unforeseen challenges in his ministry that made him feel the need to step back.
However, while clarifying, the CS dismissed the letter, noting that his previous stance on not resigning and forging on with his role continues.

“I categorically state that this letter is fake and should be disregarded. I remain fully committed to serving the people of Kenya in my capacity as Cabinet Secretary, working to strengthen our public service and enhance human capital development,” Muturi wrote on his official X.
Muturi went on to advise Kenyans to be vigilant and ensure that they do not consume fake news spread on social media.
”Let us all be vigilant against misinformation intended to mislead the public,” Muturi advised.
Recently, during an interview on Citizen TV, the CS maintained that he was not going to resign despite a section of government leaders asking him to step down.
