Dennis Muthui was allegedly shot by police in the Nairobi Majengo area despite the police report that he died of stabbing.
The latest autopsy revealed that the 26-year-old died as a result of a gunshot wound.
The government pathologist, Dr. Johansen Oduor, said that the wound was direct to the stomach and that Dennis was shot with a small-caliber weapon.
During the postmortem exercise, the pathologist said that he recovered gun pellets and plastics from the deceased’s abdomen.

Regarding the findings, Dennis was allegedly shot in the protests on Wednesday, 5, 2025, that occurred in Majengo estate after a 17-year-old was killed by the police.
The form three student is said to have been killed after a police patrol at that left a group of individuals overpowering the police prompting one of them to open fire.
The Muthui incident, therefore, might have happened in the chaotic exchange between the protesters and the police.
On the other hand, the police reports revealed that Dennis had been stabbed by criminals and died.
Now, Muthui’s family is calling for the immediate arrest and prosecution of the killer police.
