A patient was brutally murdered inside a ward at the Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH).
According to reports, the patient was murdered at night inside ward 7B by an unknown assailant.
The deceased was found lying on his bed with a slit-neck the following morning with no one having an idea of the person who did it.
The patient identified as Gilbert was admitted to KNH on December 11 2024, due to a cerebral disorder.
Next to him was a patient with the same disorder who was too weak to explain what had transpired during the incident.
However, during investigations, the nurse on duty on the night of the incident told the police that she conducted a routine check within the ward at 3 am and all was well.
The detectives, therefore, continued with the investigation and recovered a blood-stained kitchen knife that had been thrown on the ground floor.
The family of Gilbert Kinyua is now desperate for justice after an alleged DNA test from a potential prime suspect turned out negative.
The family has been moving from office to office seeking the truth about their beloved one’s killing which has so far not shown any success.
