Juventus Back into Top Four after 2-0 Victory over Verona

Juventus has climbed back into the top four of Serie A thanks to a 2-0 victory over Hellas Verona on Monday. The win was secured with two second-half goals from Khephren Thuram and Teun Koopmeiners.

Koopmeiners capped off the performance by scoring in the final minute of normal time with a powerful shot from a tight angle.

Verona had a goal disallowed late in the first half when Tomas Suslov was ruled offside, preventing them from taking an early lead. Despite Verona’s solid defense, which saw Juventus record 12 shots in the first half, Khephren Thuram finally broke through in the 72nd minute. He found the back of the net with a first-time finish from an Andrea Cambiaso pass, and Koopmeiners later sealed the victory.

With this win, Juventus has moved into fourth place in Serie A, six points behind the league leaders, Inter, and two points above fifth-place Lazio in the race for Champions League qualification.

This victory marks Juventus’ third consecutive league win without conceding a goal, a feat they last accomplished in a single Serie A campaign during a run of four such victories between October and November 2023.
