Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) secured a 3-2 victory against Lyon in their away Ligue 1 match. Achraf Hakimi scored two goals (53′, 85′), while Ousmane Dembélé also found the net (59′).
Lyon fought back late in the game but ultimately fell short on their home turf. Ryan Cherki (83′) and Corentin Tolisso (90+2′) managed to score for the hosts.
Hakimi’s first goal was a well-executed first-touch finish, and Dembélé followed it up with a fantastic solo effort to make it 2-0 for PSG. Cherki’s goal closed the gap for Lyon, but Hakimi struck again with another first-touch finish to cap off a well-crafted team move. Although Tolisso netted a late goal for Lyon during injury time, it was merely a consolation.
PSG dominated possession throughout the match, holding 66%. In terms of shots on target, the teams were closely matched, with PSG registering eight shots while Lyon had seven.
“The team has really grown in terms of character. We showed great emotional and physical control,” said PSG coach Luis Enrique.
The victory continued PSG’s unbeaten run in Ligue 1. Under Luis Enrique’s management, the team has achieved 18 wins and five losses from their 23 matches, accumulating a total of 59 points. They currently have a significant 13-point lead over second-placed Olympique de Marseille.
